Wolves Among the Sheep | How to Recognize False Prophets | Matthew 7:13-20 | May 24th, 2026

How can Christians recognize false prophets and avoid deception? In Matthew 7:13–20, Jesus warns about the broad path that leads to destruction and the narrow way that leads to life. ...He also exposes the danger of wolves in sheep’s clothing and teaches believers how to identify false teachers by their fruit.

In this sermon, we examine:
1. What the narrow gate really means
2. Why false teaching is so dangerous
3. How to recognize wolves among the sheep
4. Why the broad path is so appealing
5. What biblical discernment looks like today

Jesus makes it clear that not every voice claiming to speak for God is trustworthy. As believers, we must test teaching against Scripture and examine the fruit of those who lead others.
